Cultural Sojourns

Been away for awhile dealing with a family situation. From the last two posts, yes it was a scary ordeal. While I was away I note the passing of Nickie Goomba. I was a great fan of that dago being part dago myself (along with part Mick, Kraut, Norge, yer basic Euro mutt). I'll miss him.

The thing about parenthood is just when you think you're on top of it all - KNOW THAT YOU'RE NOT!!! Today's culture seems to be the Dark One's tool for tearing families apart, the Old Bastard. Lord, I hate that SOB (the Dark One that is)!! The past few months have been trying to say the least. The constant conflict was surreal at times {"this isn't happening"}. A friend of the fetching Mrs. Guano (not her real name) pegged it however.

"Hmmm. He's happy now"

was her summary of why things were much better now. "Huh!?!?! What's happiness gotta to do with it?? He was hanging out with E-heads supposively trying to help out a friend, yet partying it up with the worst of 'em. What the hell does happiness have to do with any of this?!?!"

"Well, he knew you wouldn't approve of what he was doing, right?" "Well, sure" "So he was unhappy before because he knew you both would be crushed if you knew what he was up to."

Boing - {the sound of the light bulb going on over my head.} "Hellooo McFly. Anybody home?" {rap rap on the noggin' sounds} "Think McFly!"

That explanation was sheer genius in its simplicity. He wasn't happy. That's why the constant fighting - nearly physical at one point. Well no smelly stuff Sherlock!!! {sigh} A Nobel Prize for parenthood is not waiting for yours truly. The one word of wisdom I can pass on from my knotheadism is "participate." Participate is your kids lives. You just might keep them alive and out of the Dark One's grip (Bite me you bastard).
